Generations: Planning Your Legacy.
Practical answers from America's foremost estate planning
attorneys.
From
the introduction: Estate and
business planning requires an intimate
knowledge of each client’s hopes,
dreams, joys and loves. Good planning,
more than passing on as much money as
possible, must be done in the context of
the client’s life, values, and
intelligence. This “holistic” approach
must transcend the nuts and bolts of tax
law. Technical expertise is only the
beginning point. Modern estate planning
must rise to a new level: one at which
the legal aspects are only a part of a
much larger picture that considers
relationships among family members and
the values and principles by which those
family members live. Contact us

Giving: Philanthropy for Everyone. Practical
answers from America's foremost
charitable planning authorities.
From
the introduction: My goal is
to help clients define their charitable
objectives and then enable them to get
the most bang for their buck in
supporting those charities. To that end,
my colleagues and I work with clients to
establish charitable trusts that
maximize their income and estate tax
benefits. Some trusts provide immediate
tax deductions to donors and future
benefits to charities. Other types of
trusts provide current income to
charities and future benefits for
donors’ families. Contributions often
entail things other than time and money.
For example, donations of easements on
land and buildings preserve urban and
rural landscapes. Clients often
establish foundations that, in addition
to providing philanthropic and tax
benefits, are great tools for promoting
family values and unity. Contact us
